GEORGE HENRY HENNESSEY

George Henry Hennessy died at his home in the W. part of town, Saturday, at 1:15 of congestion of the brain, after a sickness of little more than a day. He was born in Kent, England Sept 18, 1840. When about 16 years of age he left home and enlisted in the British Navy, serving for several years. He married Sarah Ward, March 18, 1880. To them were born 8 children, 7 of whom survive. He was a quiet, industrious and honorable citizen, a kind husband and father. Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church, Sunday conducted by Rev. Claude Travis. Interment in the Methodist Cemetery. Mrs. Hennessy wishes to thank the friends for the many kindnesses shown the family. -kbz
